Remembering Porajmos, the Roma Holocaust

Amnesty International has organised a free screening of the documentary film ‘A people uncounted’, a moving film about Roma in Ausschwitz, their brave and desperate fight against the guards and SS and their almost complete annihilation on 2 August 1944 in the Porajmos, or Roma Holocaust.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the film’s producer William Billa, alongside two survivors of Porajmos who will tell their story.

2 August marks the anniversary of Porajmos, the Roma Holocaust. We’ll be remembering this at a memorial in Hyde Park.

The screening and Q&A are free, and no advance booking is necessary.
