The British Awards for Storytelling Excellence

Amongst the oldest form of creative communication, storytelling still has a strong presence in the here and now: from school classrooms to grand theatres; from local libraries to international festivals.

The British Awards for Storytelling Excellence (BASE) are annual awards, where most of the categories will be voted on by members of the public. The ceremony to announce and present the awards will be taking place at York Explore Library on 29th September 2012. Doors will open at 7pm, and the awards ceremony should take no longer than two hours.  There will be refreshments available, and it promises to be a glittering and entertaining evening.  Dress code: smart/formal (we all like an excuse to get our posh togs out)

Tickets are £10 per person and are available put in link or email librariesatyorkdotgovdotuk  (librariesatyorkdotgovdotuk)   if you have any difficulties with the website.
