The following books have been recommended by the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust. The author can also give talks in schools and Universities.

Settala’s Last Road

This is a fictionalised account of Settela’s short life. In 1944, Settala, a young Dutch Sinti Gypsy, was sent to Auschwitz. This is her story. Available from Cottage Books or Trafford Publications. The book is used in Secondary Schools as part of Holocaust Studies. This historical novel is suitable for teenagers and adults.

This is the translation of a book about a Dutch girl sent to Auschwitz.  The journalist Aad Wagenaar recounts his long quest to find out the identity of the girl in a famous wartime photograph.  The girl turned out to be a 9 year old Gypsy born in Holland but killed in Auschwitz.

    GRTHM started in Brent in 2001. With endorsement from Parliament in 2007 GRTHM went national in 2008 and is now celebrated throughout the UK each June.
