The Traveller Movement

The Traveller Movement Racial Justice Campaign challenges the racism and inequalities experienced by many Gypsies and Travellers on accommodation, media and wider issues whilst empowering community members to play a central role in the decision making process.

Our policy team work in partnership and consultation with communities, organisations and experts in the field developing practical policy solutions that lead to progressive policy change.

National Traveller Advisory Group: The National Traveller Advisory Group is made up of Travellers and Gypsies from across the country. It steers the Traveller Movement’s policy work and is the key consultation point for the policy team on a wide range of issues.

Gypsies and Travellers have the lowest life expectancy of any group in the UK and experience an infant mortality rate three times higher than the national average. The Traveller Movement Health Justice Campaign seeks to narrow the extreme health inequalities experienced by Gypsies and Travellers through focused policy change and robust research.
